Some solar installers are working together to market bulk solar purchasing programs in their communities.  The reduced costs are passed on to the customers and the neighborhoods help with marketing.  These programs are aimed to increase public awareness and the comfort level with solar technology at a local level.  In this way residential installations can be standardized.
